Job Summary:

The Sr. Manager, SW Development Eng manages the activities of two or more sections or departments through strong tactical decision making while piloting unforeseen issues. Is a People Manager, involved in performance evaluations and pay increase recommendations.
 

Responsibilities

∙ Defines and implements processes and mechanisms to ensure predictable and quality deliverables across multiple scrum teams.
∙ Owns the customer and engineering KPIs for the team, while providing clarity on priorities and goals.
∙ Proactively resolves ambiguity in requirements and is strategic in recognizing risks and mitigating them.

Execution

∙ Plans and executes releases or projects.
∙ Maps business objectives to the team's deliverables.
∙ Actively participates in crafting the team’s roadmap. Maps business objectives to the team's deliverables by delegating assignments to subordinates.
∙ Proactively resolves ambiguity in requirements and looks ahead for risks and mitigates them.
∙ Defines and implements processes and mechanisms to ensure predictable quality deliverables.
∙ Drives efficiency across multiple scrum teams, and provides clarity about priorities and goals.
∙ Owns customer and engineering KPIs for the team.
∙ Provides clarity about priorities and goals for the functional area.

People Management

∙ Provides leadership and direction to the team directly or through managers.

∙ Has a firm grasp of technical tradeoffs and guides technical decision making.
∙ Defines and owns operational excellence metrics for the team.

∙ Is accountable for the security and compliance posture for the team’s deliverables.

∙ Demonstrates a thorough understanding of business priorities and has a strong customer focus.
∙ Makes sound technical and managerial decisions based on data and consultation with stakeholders.

Qualifications

· Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
