Senior Financial Analyst (Business Partner Commercial)

Position Overview:
Diligent is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role in providing business partnership to our Commercial International team, with a core focus on planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis. The Commercial International Business Unit covers EMEA and APAC regions and is responsible for the support of our existing customers and expanding, scaling, and bringing our suite of innovative GRC & ESG solutions to the market
The ideal person for this role has experience in strong financial analysis and forecasting abilities, to enable Diligent to determine how best to deploy our resources to continue and accelerate our growth trajectory. Key Responsibilities
- International team
- Consolidate & analyze financial data (Budgets, Forecasts, ARR Roll-Forwards, Invoicing, Headcount forecasts, etc.) considering Diligent’s goals and financial standing
- Track and Report the International Commercial BU’s financial performance by analyzing actual results compared to budget and forecasts providing monthly expense & revenue variance reviews to business leaders
- Ownership of weekly CS backlog process in conjunction with INTL CS leadership.
- Ownership and coordination with HR team of key registration projects locally such as BB-BEE.
- Perform deep-dive analyses on root causes of issues and make recommendations on how best to monitor and meet them. In conjunction with VP Finance International – execute on recommendations with wider INTL Business
- Ad hoc analysis requests as required by the INTL leadership team
- Global team
- Work with Accounting and Sales Operations monthly to identify and explain key revenue variance drivers
- Perform bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reporting to FP&A team, VP Finance International & Business Partners by developing models/trackers to analyze KPIs of the International business helping support our growth (ex. Bookings, Renewals, Billings/Backlog, Headcount Forecasts, Commissions, etc.)
- Provide approaches and solutions for more efficient operations using data and business intelligence tools
Required Experience/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree; concentration in finance or accounting
- Proven success working within a global FP&A team
- Ability to work independently handling multiple tasks, while knowing when to seek guidance
- Strong modeling and presentation skills, Excellent communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive, team player who is action oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Oracle, Salesforce, and OneStream experience a plus
- A strong level of confidentiality for sensitive information
