The Role 

We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join the Mission Control team (DataLab product) as the frontend technical lead for the western hemisphere-based team. As a frontend engineer, you will play a critical role in crafting user-centric, performant, and scalable interfaces that power our enterprise financial solutions using industry standard technologies like React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.  

You will collaborate closely with product managers, back-end engineers, and engineering leaders to translate complex business requirements into clean, maintainable code. You will contribute to frontend architecture decisions, establish best practices in UI development, and champion design consistency, accessibility, and overall product quality.  

You will also be empowered to use modern agentic coding tools thoughtfully to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, explore solutions, and raise the team’s engineering leverage while maintaining strong judgment, ownership, and review standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the frontend technical lead for CMG’s DataLab product, helping set direction for the Mission Control team in the Western Hemisphere. 

• AI is changing how software gets built. In this role you'll contribute to the frontend development harness, push it hard as a daily user, and champion it across the team. 

• Develop and maintain complex, scalable user interfaces for web applications using React and TypeScript. 

• Partner with your cross functional product team to come up with the best solution, regardless of role boundaries or where the work technically sits. 

• Guide frontend architecture, component design, accessibility, performance, and developer experience improvements.  

• Contribute to overall product quality through unit, component, and E2E tests. 

Qualifications

• React: 5+ years 

• TypeScript: 5+ years 

• Software engineering: 10+ years 

• Experience leading frontend technical decisions, mentoring engineers, and driving UI architecture standards 

• Demonstrated ability to use agentic coding tools (we use Claude, Codex, and CoPilot) productively while maintaining high standards for correctness, security, maintainability, and team collaboration 

• Modern JavaScript ecosystem experience 

• Solid full-stack experience is expected (Node.js or otherwise, we are a .NET shop) 

• Fintech experience is a plus
