Senior FS (Java/React) Engineer

Our client, a Fortune 50 company, is seeking Senior Fullstack (Java/React) Engineers to work on a scalable backend and frontend solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a consulting approach and an engineering mindset. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing backend if needed, in a microservices-based architecture. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

This is a long-term contract position for candidates based in the Czech Republic. We offer a relocation package to EU citizens.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java

• Develop modern, responsive user interfaces with React

• Contribute to application architecture and end-to-end technical solution design

• Build and deploy cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure

• Integrate third-party services, APIs, and enterprise systems

• Accelerate development by leveraging AI-powered engineering tools (e.g. Claude, Cursor) for coding, refactoring, debugging, and automation

• Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions

• Conduct code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and ensure high standards of code quality, maintainability, and performance

Work Conditions

• Type: Full-time long-term contract

• Start Date: ASAP

• Location: Hybrid; start onsite, later on hybrid preferred (1x weekly at the office in Cheb)

• Contract with European LLC

Requirements

Core Technical Skills

• Java

• Solid experience with frontend development using React

• Java SE/EE, Spring or similar frameworks

• Experience with TDD

• PostgreSQL or similar relational database

• Cloud-native experience

• Docker

• Git

• English (both written and spoken)

• Agile (Scrum) knowledge

• 6+ years of experience
