Senior Infrastructure Engineer

TLDR

Orchestrate enterprise infrastructure across on-prem and cloud, delivering high-availability storage, virtualization, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions utilizing Dell servers, NetApp and Pure storage, VMware virtualization, and cloud platforms (AWS and Azure)

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security configurations

  • Lead complex infrastructure projects, including cloud migrations, hybrid integrations, upgrades, and capacity planning

  • Manage and optimize NetApp and Pure storage systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity

  • Administer and enhance VMware environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, virtual networking, and lifecycle management

  • Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of all infrastructure components

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure automation scripts and tools using PowerShell, Python, Bash, and cloud-native automation tools

  • Proactively monitor system health, performance, and security across on-premises and cloud environments

  • Provide expert Tier 3 support and technical mentorship to junior engineers and technicians within the global team

  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure architecture, configurations, and operational procedures

  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution to ensure business continuity

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements)

  • 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering and systems administration

  • Expert-level knowledge of Dell server hardware and management tools (e.g., iDRAC, OpenManage)

  • Extensive experience with NetApp storage systems, including administration, configuration, and protocols (NFS, CIFS, iSCSI)

  • Advanced proficiency in VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and related virtualization technologies

  • Advanced proficiency in AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure, including services for compute, storage, networking, and security

  • Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for infrastructure automation and monitoring

  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, SAN environments, and Windows/Linux server administration

  • Solid understanding of cloud networking fundamentals, compute, storage, and identity management

  • Proven ability to lead complex infrastructure projects and provide mentorship to junior staff

  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and documentation skills

  • Expert Knowledge of hardware remote administration on blade chassis, stand-alone servers

  • Experience in DNS, DHCP, AD services, SCCM and other windows troubleshooting

  • Strong proficiency in troubleshooting 3rd party and custom applications

  • Experience with NetApp based hardware, AFF chassis and other components

  • Proficiency with network, windows and storage protocols but not limited to TCPIP, SMB, NFS and CIFS Shares

  • Expert level Linux administration skills related to file systems, file mount volumes, advance file system and OS troubleshooting

  • Advanced Linux administration skills to mount volumes, basic file system and OS troubleshooting

  • Advanced Vmware proficiency at vCenter and ESX troubleshooting

  • Proficiency in PowerCLI and Powershell scripting. Terraform coding will be added advantage

  • Experience in Azure and AWS cloud fundamentals in compute, networking and storage

  • Service now ticketing, problem and incident management is required

  • Flexibility to work shift schedules and on-call duties as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

  • NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA)

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator Associate (or equivalent)

  • Dell Technologies Professional (DCE or equivalent)
