About the Role & Team

As the Senior Manager of Audio Production, you will be responsible for leading a team of Audio Creatives, and will oversee the execution of audio for virtual events, brand campaigns, advertising spots, hosted content, and more. You will partner closely with Creative Directors, Video and Design Managers, Operations and cross-functional leadership, looking at every project as an opportunity to bring our brand to life and to deliver content that is uniquely Pandora to millions of listeners across the country. 

In this role, you will have direct reports and are responsible for both the creative and professional development of the team: fostering a fun, safe, and inspiring environment for creativity.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Audio Creatives, supporting your direct reports’ career growth by providing ongoing feedback, coaching, and development opportunities.
  • Oversee the vision for and execution of audio production and post-production for multiple channels, with an emphasis on quality control and adherence to Pandora’s brand standards, and in collaboration with Creative Directors and cross-functional leadership. 
  • Track bandwidth across the team, reviewing and responding to daily requests for audio assignments and anticipating when extra resources will be needed.
  • Help vet and scope new projects in partnership with Operations and Group Creative Director.
  • Identify and remove roadblocks to help the team work efficiently and effectively, partnering with Operations to improve workflows and timelines as needed.
  • Assist Production Managers in vetting, bidding, and onboarding external vendors for pre- and post-production and audio tools.
  • Manage outsourced work in partnership with our Creative Directors. 
  • Pursue knowledge of and share best practices, trends, and consumer insights.
  • Develop strong relationships across the organization to gain an understanding of business needs and facilitate strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Understand and articulate how the work responds to the goals of the creative brief, ladders up to company goals, and advances the brand and the business to senior leadership. 
  • Prepare team members for creative presentations and champion their work.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a fast paced and demanding production environment, that includes experience managing a team.
  • An innovative and diverse portfolio that showcases your experience in audio production and post production, sound design, voice and music sourcing, and includes work you supported your team through.
  • Expert knowledge of production and post-production workflows and best practices for executions ranging from simple artist interviews for social media to hour-long virtual events and national broadcast commercial spots.
  • Ability to operate effectively and positively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working with artists and their representatives.
  • Expert knowledge of editing, mixing, mastering and implementing audio within DAWs including Logic and Pro Tools, along with other industry standard and proprietary tools..
  • A collaborative nature with a knack for bringing people together.
  • Must be flexible, proactive, highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to respond in a thoughtful way to a broad range of business leaders.
  • Ability to travel for work occasionally.
