Wasserman’s Brands division is looking for a motivated individual to join one of our priority client account teams.

As Senior Manager, you will actively manage and ensure the success of various client projects, playing a key role in all disciplines from strategic development to execution.

The role will assist with the day-to-day management of a key partnership on one of our biggest accounts. This individual will play a key part in developing and executing programs across experiential, content, social, digital, and hospitality, as well as supporting broader strategic initiatives across the business.

Experience in and around the game of golf is a plus. This role will have a heavy hand across various parts of the professional golf ecosystem and a working knowledge of the game, its governing bodies, talent and its competitive framework will be important. Any time spent working within any of the game is also helpful.

This position can sit in Raleigh, NC, New York City, or be remote. Preference will be given to east coast hours.

Duties:

  • Day-to-day management of select partnerships, with responsibility for crafting, executing, and measuring key sponsorship, content, social, digital, and hospitality programs.
  • Act as subject matter expert on the golf industry or be willing to become one really quickly.
  • Develop and deliver polished deliverables in support client decision-making in the form of presentations, timelines, meeting reports and other project management essentials.
  • Takes on specialized roles or projects, including working with third party vendors, properties and/or partner agencies to execute client programs.
  • Assist cross-functional team leads with partner logistics, planning, implementation, and execution as applicable.
  • Supports and leads data and insights initiatives tied to audience, interests and alignment to strategic priorities.
  • Actively stays on top of media, trends and the always evolving sports, entertainment and cultural landscape to keep our team and clients aware.
  • Oversight of more junior team members and interns along with development and growth plans, identification of annual goals and implementation/follow through on each.
  • Stays up to date on client product / service offering and is able to thoughtfully present to potential partners.
  • Learns and manages client-facing project management systems and legal processes for the purposes of supporting the creation and approval of different project documents.
  • Maintains productive relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.
  • Capable of working in a high-stress, fast-paced environment while serving as a calming and positive presence for the team focused on solutions and next steps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years relevant experience with minimum 4 years of direct experience in account and project management (preferably in the sports or entertainment field).
  • Specific experience working in golf in a sponsorship and/or activation capacity with preferred knowledge of the PGA Tour and/or other governing bodies of the game.
  • Tertiary understanding of financial services brands, benefits and product offerings
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite, particularly with PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to multi-task and self-manage to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
  • Must be flexible and comfortable to assume multiple roles as needed by the team.
  • Possess exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Carries out responsibilities with minimal direction.
  • Motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a skilled negotiator.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Ability to think creatively in a team environment.
  • Must be flexible and react calmly under stressful circumstances.


Base salary range: $60,000 – $95,000 plus bonus potential if applicable for role. Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each role.
