Senior Manager, Performance Marketing
Flatiron School is looking for a Senior Manager, Performance Marketing to lead and build out performance marketing on our growing team!
As the Senior Manager of Performance Marketing, your primary focus will be to define, execute, analyze, and optimize our student marketing acquisition strategy across paid social, paid search, organic, display, affiliates, and emerging channels. You’ll not only be responsible for defining the acquisition growth strategy for existing programs, but also modeling and building out the acquisition playbook for new programs in new markets. The Senior Manager of Acquisition Marketing will own full-funnel management and lead a high-performing acquisition team to support all our programs.
The ideal candidate is an analytical and data driven marketing leader who’s passionate about joining a mission-driven company and helping more people discover how learning to code can transform their career. He or she should have deep knowledge of key acquisition channels and the marketing technology stack to effectively drive results with them, have experience managing a team, and have an innate ability to identify growth opportunities and evangelize them among key company stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage a multi-million dollar annual budget: Deploy a growing budget effectively across paid social, SEM, affiliates, and new acquisition channels. Define timing, strategic experimentation, and channel allocation to meet our growth targets.
- Drive Organic growth: Meet our organic traffic growth targets by overseeing the implementation of smart SEO practices, content creation, and link building.
- KPI setting, reporting, and management: Lead the charge on setting monthly and annual KPIs and targets for the full funnel across multiple programs. Create effective reporting structures and systems that drive clarity and productivity for the team.
- Manage the acquisition model(s): Be the key owner of a robust acquisition model and new model build outs. This includes updates to the framework when needed, reconciling actuals with projections on a monthly basis, and building new models for new courses that help define funnel mechanics and necessary resources.
- Promotions and discounting: Set, refine, and implement the strategy around promotions and discounts for our courses to achieve ROI positive growth.
- Website management: Oversee the build out, design, and conversation rate of our website and manage its performance on a weekly basis.
- Oversee vendors and agencies: Oversee the day-to-day management and evaluation of all agencies, contractors, and tools used to execute the marketing acquisition strategy.
- Be an inspiring manager: Lead a growing team of performance marketers, including hiring and recruiting new team members.
ABOUT YOU:
- 7+ years experience in performance or acquisition marketing roles.
- Experience managing a performance marketing team. You’re an inspiring leader who also has the skill-set to lead by example.
- Proven track record successfully managing a large acquisition budget
- Highly analytical: skilled at quickly analyzing data and turning it into actionable insights.
- Scrappy: You thrive in a fast paced, startup environment and seek out creative ways to personally execute on the projects you put into motion.
- Marketing tool savvy: you know your way around marketing tools like Google Analytics/Tag Manager, Hubspot, SEM Rush, Facebook Ads Manager/Power Editor, or comparable tools.
- Bias for action: You’re someone who tends to push the pace of innovation by moving fast and testing efficiently.
- Passion for education and our product: You love what Flatiron School is about and truly think our product can make a difference.
