Overview
The Senior Manager of Revenue Cycle Services is responsible for managing the oversight of the day-to-day operational performance, reporting, forecasting, and developing data-driven insights to successfully drive the business forward in a measurable way, for multiple clients and/or multiple functions within revenue cycle management (i.e. Billing, collections, denials, etc.). Works directly with internal and external customers as well as independently and as part of the business leadership team.
Responsibilities include:
- Develops and implements process and efficiency improvements, using available statistical data and other tools as available, to appropriately manage workload to achieve set goals and outcomes for company and clients.
- Provides leadership to their direct reports by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives.
- Proactively looks for areas of improvement and opportunity in revenue cycle processes, present recommendations and set goals for immediate action
- Monitors ongoing processes and ensures appropriate oversight, correction, and documentation of challenges occurs timely; identifies barriers and challenges to achieving goals; formulates and implements solutions to ensure progress to goals is occurring.
- Work with operational leaders to ensure operational performance’s disciplines align with business and account strategies
- Point of contact for operational leaders in regard to performance and related initiatives.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging information regarding payer contracts, Medicare legislation, regulations, market activity and industry trends
- Developing and utilizing applicable management models to oversee productivity and overall quality of staff performance
- Ensure talent is identified, hired, and trained and that the new hire and onboarding process is completed in a way that fosters a successful employee experience

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
- 5-6 years of required experience in revenue cycle management
- 3-4 years of required experience in a leadership role in revenue cycle management (manager level or higher)
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with superior verbal and written communications skills, with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy.
- Strong attention to details and accuracy, using problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
- Ability to understand operational business processes, and apply technical/system knowledge
- Must be experienced in and have extensive working knowledge of all systems related to the revenue cycle
- Independent, logical thinker with proven ability to perform detailed data analysis and make sound decisions
- Thorough knowledge of CPT-4 and ICD-10 coding and RVU-based reimbursement methodology and payer contracts
- Strong financial & operational modeling experience
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
- Exceptional communication, listening, coaching, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong computer skills including experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive.

- Experience with EPIC system
