Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d)

Design and implement end-to-end features, own key components, and mentor engineers across our e-commerce payment processing domain.

ABOUT THE TEAM You'll be part of the team responsible for the backbone of our e-commerce payment processing, building the services that move money safely and at scale. We care deeply about resilience, observability, and getting the hard details right, because in payments there's no room for "good enough."  Our mission We build robust, efficient, and user-friendly software that solves real-world problems. We grow our skills continuously and collaborate ethically and professionally to make a positive impact on our users and the business.  What your work will look like:
  • You'll design and implement complex features end to end, backing them with solid testing and clear documentation. 
  • You'll take ownership of key components and systems in your product area and drive their delivery in close collaboration with your team.
  • As a senior voice, you'll mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and help shape architectural decisions and technical direction across your domain.
  • You'll also keep raising the bar, proactively spotting ways to improve our codebase, tooling, and processes. 
  • What you need to be successful in this role:
    • A Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science (or equivalent) and several years of hands-on software engineering experience. 

    • Advanced proficiency in Java, including designing and optimizing large-scale systems. 

    • Solid experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB, including data modeling and performance tuning. 

    • A deep understanding of Agile ways of working and lifecycle best practices, including CI/CD and test automation. 

    • Strong communication and mentoring skills, with the confidence to drive technical discussions and decisions across teams, including integrating complex APIs in modern architectures.
