The Role
Fidelity Investments Workplace Investing (WI) is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to join Digital Platforms Technology. This role plays a critical part in enabling predictable delivery by ensuring business needs are translated into clear, actionable, and well-defined requirements that can be efficiently consumed by engineering teams. The successful candidate will partner closely with Product Management, Business Analysis, Engineering Delivery Managers, Principal Engineers, Quality Engineers, Architects, and business stakeholders to drive requirement quality, backlog readiness, dependency visibility, and delivery confidence.
The Team
You will be part of the Plan Sponsor WorkStation (PSW) technology organisation within Stock Plan Services (SPS). As a Senior Systems Analyst, you will work within a product delivery team and act as a key partner to Product Management, Engineering Leadership, Business Analysts, and Quality Engineers.
The Expertise We're Looking For
- 5+ years of systems analysis experience supporting software delivery teams.
- Strong experience translating business needs into detailed functional and system requirements.
- Experience supporting backlog management, delivery planning, and work decomposition activities.
Backlog & Delivery Enablement
- Maintain a healthy and prioritised backlog.
- Ensure stories and features meet agreed readiness standards.
- Drive backlog refinement and work sequencing.
- Identify dependencies, risks, scope concerns, and readiness issues.
- Support roadmap planning and initiative decomposition.
Business & Technology Partnership
- Partner closely with Business Analysts.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering Leadership.
- Partner with Quality Engineers to ensure strong acceptance criteria and testability.
