TXSE
Senior Systems Architect
TLDR
Drive the architectural design and implementation of resilient infrastructure for trading platforms, while collaborating cross-functionally to enhance operational integrity and compliance.
TXSE is building the next-generation exchange infrastructure to support transparent, efficient, and resilient capital markets. With SEC approval and $270MM in funding, we are currently hiring a Senior Systems Architect to help with a greenfield infrastructure build out.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Architecture & Engineering: Design, implement, and evolve highly available
infrastructure platforms that support mission-critical trading, market data, and financial
services workloads across on-premises and cloud environments.
OpenShift & Kubernetes: Architect, deploy, and maintain resilient Red Hat OpenShift
and Kubernetes platforms for low-latency, high-throughput production environments.
Linux Engineering: Provide senior-level engineering leadership for Red Hat Enterprise
Linux (RHEL) systems, including kernel tuning, performance optimization, patching
strategy, lifecycle management, and operational standards.
Market-Critical Infrastructure Services: Engineer and support core infrastructure
services essential to distributed financial systems, including LDAP, Kerberos, SSSD,
DNS, BIND, PowerDNS, NTP, Chrony, and PTP, with a focus on precision, availability,
and operational integrity.
Cloud & Hybrid Architecture: Design and operate secure AWS and Azure solutions,
including hybrid and multi-cloud architectures that satisfy financial industry requirements
for resilience, auditability, security, and business continuity.
Enterprise Hardware & Storage: Lead the design, support, and optimization of
infrastructure running on Dell PowerEdge servers and enterprise storage platforms, with
emphasis on performance, replication, capacity planning, and fault tolerance.
Automation & Platform Reliability: Develop and standardize infrastructure automation
using Ansible, Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitOps, Terraform, Pulumi, and scripting frameworks
to improve repeatability, speed, and operational consistency.
Developer & Release Platform Integration: Manage GitHub Enterprise and related
integrations, including SonarQube, Artifactory, and GitHub Actions runners, to enable
secure and scalable software delivery workflows.
Operational Resilience & Compliance: Ensure platforms are designed and operated to
meet the security, availability, resiliency, and regulatory expectations of financial
services and capital markets environments.
Architecture Leadership: Establish design standards, reference architectures, and
reusable engineering patterns that can be deployed consistently across multiple business
and technology domains.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with trading, application
development, production support, cybersecurity, network engineering, and infrastructure
teams to deliver stable, performant, and scalable solutions aligned with front-office and
enterprise priorities.
