Senior Tech Writer

We’re looking for a Senior Technical Writer to own and improve our Docusaurus based developer documentation for products built primarily with JavaScript / TypeScript.

You will work closely with engineers and product teams to create clear, accurate, and structured documentation that helps developers understand how our platform works and how to integrate with it.

This role requires someone who not only writes well but also understands the domain. Experience in fintech or game development is highly valued, as the role involves working with domain-specific concepts and terminology.

You will also help improve and expand our documentation portal, making it a reliable source of knowledge for both internal teams and external developers.

Role Responsibilities

1. Developer Documentation

• Write and maintain developer documentation using Docusaurus (Markdown-based) for systems built with JavaScript / TypeScript.

• Create clear guides, API documentation, architecture explanations, and integration tutorials.

• Work closely with engineers to understand how features work and translate that knowledge into structured documentation.

1. Documentation Infrastructure

• Maintain and improve documentation written in Markdown.

• Help organize and evolve the documentation portal (structure, navigation, discoverability).

• Ensure documentation stays up to date as the platform evolves.

• Improve documentation discoverability by configuring and optimizing Algolia search.

• Manage and maintain documentation localization workflows using Crowdin.

1. Cross-Team Collaboration

• Work with engineering and product teams to gather technical information and clarify complex topics.

• Ensure correct technical terminology and domain understanding are reflected in the documentation.

1. Knowledge Management

• Help standardize documentation practices across teams.

• Improve clarity, consistency, and accessibility of technical knowledge.

• Improve the AI-powered documentation assistant (Ask AI by Algolia) by refining prompts, tuning knowledge sources, and structuring documentation to help the AI provide accurate answers to customers.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer working with developer-facing documentation.

• Strong experience writing documentation in Markdown/MDX.

• Excellent written English.

• Ability to understand complex technical systems and explain them clearly.

• Experience working closely with engineering teams.

• Experience with AI-assisted writing and coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot).

Important

• Background in fintech or game development, or strong familiarity with these domains.

• Ability to understand and correctly use domain-specific terminology.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or maintaining developer documentation portals.

• Familiarity with documentation tools (e.g., Docusaurus, GitBook, MkDocs, Notion, Confluence).

• Basic understanding of APIs and developer workflows.

• Experience structuring large documentation sets.

• Basic understanding of CSS for styling documentation pages.

• Experience with end-to-end testing tools (e.g., Playwright) to test documentation site UI.

• Experience with Git and GitHub pull request workflows.

• Basic understanding of React/JSX for working with custom documentation components.

• Basic understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript ecosystems.
