Senior Technical Support Specialist
TLDR
Diagnose complex production healthcare systems, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate across engineering and product teams to ensure imaging workflows and data reliability.
- Investigate and resolve escalated production issues impacting providers, clinics, and patients in a timely and structured manner
- Perform deep technical troubleshooting across application layers, including configuration, integrations, and system workflows
- Use SQL to query databases, validate system behavior, and perform root cause analysis of complex issues
- Diagnose and replicate software defects, documenting findings clearly for engineering escalation and resolution
- Support healthcare imaging workflows (including PACS/DICOM environments) and ensure system reliability in production
- Maintain SLAs for high-priority incidents and contribute to operational stability and uptime
- Document recurring issues, troubleshooting steps, and best practices to improve support efficiency
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Technical Services teams to resolve cross-functional technical problems
- Contribute to implementation and integration projects involving healthcare systems and data exchange
- 3+ years of experience supporting production software systems backed by relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
- Strong ability to write SQL queries to investigate data issues and validate system behavior
- Experience troubleshooting complex, business-critical applications beyond hardware or basic IT support
- Strong understanding of system-level debugging, including configurations, integrations, and workflows
- Experience working with enterprise systems such as PACS, EMR, ERP, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as DICOM or HL7 (nice to have)
- Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure, production-critical environments
- $72,000 – $80,000 CAD annual salary (based on experience)
