Senior UI/UX Designer

LOCATION: Mission Viejo, California, U.S.A.

FireForge is looking for an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to join our Mission Viejo, CA office. The Sr. UI/UX Designer creates user experience flows and related user interface wireframes for delivering game and web content. This position reports to design management and works with engineers and artists to provide highly usable interfaces for users. This is a full-time salaried position. You must be legally able to work in the United States.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as an advocate for the user
• Extract and organize requirements from multiple disciplines (game dev, web dev, business and marketing)
• Outline, specify and design content user experience
• Wireframe user interface
• Participate in and as necessary lead ui/ux design meetings
• Refine user experience and user interface based on analysis of live customer data and usability studies
• Create and evaluate user stories and usability studies
• Work with engineering to realize user experience and user interface design
• Stay current with evolving techniques and relevant market research

REQUIREMENTS

    SKILLS

• High level of proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator and other common design tools
• Ability to create high quality mockups and style guides
• Prototyping capability in HTML, JavaScript and CSS
• Visual and user centered web design
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Self motivated to achieve high quality work
• Work well under stressful conditions

    EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a UX design, interaction design or similar role
• Understanding of web content delivery technical constraints
• Familiarity with social networking platforms

    EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in human-computer interaction, interactive design or comparable professional experience

PLUSES

• Interactive entertainment development experience
• Understanding of AJAX, PHP, Flash, ActionScript
• eCommerce design experience
• A passion for playing video games and/or video game industry experience
• Work on multiple projects at once
• Cross-platform experience, especially iPhone, Android phones and tablet computers
