Site Moderator (Speedrun.com)

As a Site Moderator for Speedrun.com, you will have the opportunity to work daily with a skilled team focused on bringing new features to life for an exciting community. You will get to participate collaboratively in building the best experience for our users and lend your creative mind to find new opportunities to serve our users better.
Responsibilities
Content & User Moderation
- Review and handle reported site content
- Review and handle reported users
- Process ban appeals
- Moderate Speedrun.com Discord server
- Review and approve/deny game requests, series requests, game page update requests, and marathon requests
Game Moderator Management
- Review and approve/deny change in game moderator requests
- Review and handle reported game moderators
- Determine best fit game moderators for highly-requested new games
- Maintain relationships with game moderators
Policy
- Suggest, participate in conversations around, and document established site policy
Requirements
We are looking for Site Moderators with:
- Deep knowledge of Speedrun.com and other speedrunning communities
- A proven track record of conflict negotiation and community moderation
- The ability to make moderation decisions based on policy and escalate if necessary internally
- Strong verbal and written English skills
- Lives and maintains working hours between Central European Time (UTC+1) and Pacific Standard Time (UTC-8)

- Hourly: $12-$15 USD
