How You'll Make an Impact

Keep KompatoAI reliable, observable, and recoverable under real production load on AWS. You own the SLOs, the on-call response, release safety, and the infrastructure the product runs on. Two areas carry your name specifically: the email channel, where reliability means reputation rather than latency, and the internal AI agents the team uses to operate everything else. Reliability is the deliverable; email reputation and agent-driven operations are the workloads you make reliable.

What You'll Do

• SLOs and SLIs, error budget tracking, and the reliability reviews that follow.
• Incident response: on-call, runbooks, postmortems, follow-up actions to closure.
• Observability: metrics, logs and traces; alerting tuned to user impact, not noise.
• Infrastructure and change safety: Kubernetes via GitOps, Terraform, secrets, progressive rollout and rollback.
• Capacity, cost and security hygiene: right-sizing, quota headroom, vulnerability remediation, least-privilege IAM.
• The email channel: sending infrastructure, authentication, warm-up lifecycle, deliverability SLIs.
• Internal AI agents and MCP tooling: new tools, safety rails, audit trail, cost monitoring.

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years operating production systems as an SRE or strong DevOps practitioner.
  You can debug a flaky service end-to-end on your own.
• Strong Linux and networking fundamentals — DNS, TLS, HTTP, load balancing. You can trace a request and tell where it died.
• Working Kubernetes experience: workloads, pod lifecycle, resource limits, ingress, troubleshooting under pressure.
• Terraform and GitOps CI/CD (ArgoCD or similar) — you have built or improved a release pipeline with rollback in mind.
• Cloud experience, AWS preferred.
• Observability fluency (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) — you write queries, build dashboards, tune alerts.
• Hands-on SLO/SLI practice, including error-budget conversations with engineering teams.
• Strong incident response habits: you have carried a pager, run incidents, written postmortems.
• Python or Go at a level where you write and maintain tooling, not just configure it.
• Hands-on operation of a high-volume ESP (SendGrid, SparkPost, Mailgun, SES or equivalent) plus working knowledge of SPF, DKIM, DMARC and reverse DNS.
• Practical IP/domain warmup experience, and fluency in ESP event data — you distinguish a hard bounce from a block and know what each says about list quality versus reputation.
• You have built something with LLMs, not only used them, and can explain how you kept it safe.

Nice to Have

• Cold or outbound email at 1M+/day, or a domain estate you brought back from degraded reputation.
• Google Postmaster Tools, Microsoft SNDS, inbox placement testing (GlockApps, Everest).
• A harness-engineering mindset for SRE.
