Software Engineer 2

We're looking for a full-stack Software Engineer 2 with a focus on backend development who is passionate about making a difference on a small team. We are changing the global payment space by leveraging the latest technologies and stack such as GraphQL and Prisma. We are a team of passionate entrepreneurs and engineers making a long-lasting impact by developing a product that makes international payments simpler and more affordable.

We’re scaling our team and looking for a mid-level hire. We’re looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience as a full stack or backend engineer who can manage our operations, and develop our GraphQL API and React.js/Typescript web based application. You must have experience in building APIs or have assisted in building APIs in a production level environment. You will be in a fast-paced environment where you will need to learn quickly, drive for results, and problem solve.

Most important of all, you need to be a self-starter and have the ability to work and lead small sprints to meet deadlines. You must want to learn, have a passion for engineering, and drive our mission to enable better payments through design, testing, and development. You must be located in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high performing quality codebase of our GraphQL API, web application, and payment gateway.
• Manage existing third party APIs and integrate new ones.
• Implement API protections to open up an existing API and add new automated tests.
• Develop and implement new features and functionalities.
• Manage CI/CD and deployments.
• Work with a small team of engineers to meet deadlines and take on managerial tasks.

• Remote or able to commute to our office near Nulu - Louisville, KY.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
• 3 years minimum development experience
• Have built or assisted with building an API in production level environment
• Integrated APIs with other API providers
• Typescript
• JavaScript/Node.js and frameworks like Express
• GraphQL (Apollo)
• Git & Continuous integration
