Software Engineer 3 (Potential Telework)

We are seeking an experienced full-stack software engineer to support the Cybersecurity Intelligence Team (CIT). The team develops and sustains mission software that helps analysts organize, correlate, and interpret cyber-threat information from multiple sources, providing a more coherent understanding of adversary activity. The successful candidate will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain capabilities across the application stack. This position requires a developer who can work independently within an established codebase, collaborate effectively with software engineers, systems engineers, analysts, and mission stakeholders, and translate operational needs into reliable software solutions.
The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade- offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
** Limited telework may be available once up to speed as tasking permits.
**This position requires PRIVAC. Candidate must have a current (within 7 years) poly and/or currently possess the minimum level of PRIVAC required for this role (NSYS).
***This position is eligible for a $5k bonus! (Includes 20% SEP IRA contribution)***
