Software Engineer
TLDR

As a Software Engineer reporting to Sr. Manager – Software Engineering, you'll play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining software solutions that power Nasdaq's global technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust software applications that support business-critical operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across regions to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Identify and resolve software issues, ensuring reliability and performance across systems.
Partner with product and stakeholder teams to translate requirements into scalable, well-structured solutions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
3–5 years of experience in software development, with strong proficiency in Java.
Experience using Git for version control in a collaborative development environment.
Clear communicator with the ability to work effectively in matrixed, global teams.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering quality and impact.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and modern software delivery practices.
Experience with fault-tolerant, distributed and deterministic systems.
Familiarity with consensus algorithms and coordination mechanisms.
This position is located in Stockholm, Sweden and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment, with at least 3 days per week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
