As an engineer, you will be responsible for building a real-time streaming platform that will democratize data access across engineering, business and other teams at Hotstar. You will be a part of the core team responsible for designing and building low-latency, high throughput data infrastructure for web-scale.

Your Key Responsibilities

1. You will design and build state-of-the-art real-time streaming infrastructure
2. You will build stream processing pipelines to compute personalized recommendations of our users real-time
3. You will build tools to accelerate A/B testing and offline experimentation of Machine Learning models
4. You will design and build scalable & highly available APIs to serve recommendations to millions of  concurrent users
5. You will architect and scale various SQL and NoSQL databases for millions of concurrent reads & writes

What to Bring

1. Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
2. Comprehensive understanding of computer science and database fundamentals
3. Must have hands-on knowledge of Apache Kafka
4. Expertise in any functional language such as: Scala or Go
5. Experience with building scalable machine learning infrastructure
6. Unbiased and data-driven opinions
7. Ability to Write Code for Humans not Machines
