Our Design and Technology Enablement teams are working on the development of a broad portfolio of semiconductor technologies ranging from 350 nm down to 12nm including FD-SOI, RF, High-Voltage, and automotive applications.

Introduction:

As a Design Enablement Engineer, you will be a member of the Design Enablement Team responsible for developing design components for Process Design Kits (PDK). 

Job Role:

  • Develop and maintain DFM rule decks focused on manufacturability, yield enhancement, and reliability requirements. 

  • Collaborate with Process Integration, Technology Development, Physical Verification, and Design Services teams to define and deploy new DFM methodologies. 

  • Develop, validate, and release density and fill solutions for new and existing PDKs.  

  •  Support multiple PDK releases and ensure timely delivery aligned with technology schedules.  

  • Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive DFM and Fill QA methodologies, test plans, and validation suites to ensure accuracy, robustness, and quality of DFM and Fill deliverables. 

  • Collaborate with EDA tool vendors to support DFM and Fill verification, resolve technical issues, and drive continuous improvements. 

  • Investigate and resolve customer-reported issues related to DFM and Fill PDK components, ensuring timely and effective solutions. 

  • Develop scripts and automation infrastructure to improve productivity and reduce development cycle time. 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for PDK release quality and efficiency. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, Computer Science or equivalent 

  • Fundamental knowledge in the semiconductor field. 

  • Verbal and written communication skills in English. 

  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl, Bash...) is considered an advantage. 

  • Knowledge in ML or GenAI is a great advantage 

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, global team environment. 

  • BS + 2-4 years of experience or 
    MS + 1-3 year 
    PhD + 0-1 year
