Sr. Java Engineer

Overview

We are an early stage financial technology company. Our team includes ex-Google and ex-Yahoo veterans. Our innovation team is hiring smart and creative payment systems engineers. We expect you to solve hard problems relating to transaction processing, interfaces, latency and simplifying complexity. You will be designing and building systems that are efficient, scalable and reliable whether it is front end consumer entry points or back-end integration or real-time analytics. 

You should be flexible and capable of handling the forest and the trees, including system level design, managing and optimizing code interaction at transaction levels. You will solve problems using mathematics, physics and as well as practical experiences.You will solve problems using mathematics, physics and practical experiences. You will have superb troubleshooting and analytical skills, experience in system design and implementation, and more importantly, a burning desire to solve hard problems. 

Job Description

Experience in financial services, payment systems or banking is an advantage and will provide a running start.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field/degree. Masters and/or Phd desired. 
• 7 years relevant work experience. 
• Experience with data structures, algorithms and complexity analysis.
• Experience with analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale transaction processing systems. 
• Experience in a high-volume transaction processing environment.
• Experience with state machines, SOA, network gateways, ISO-8583
