Staff Portrait Photographer -New York Tri-State Area

Minted is looking for a Staff Portrait Photographer for its Minted Photo Op program launch. Creative and flexible by nature, the ideal candidate will help Minted customers and their families create the perfect holiday, save the date, or birth announcement cards by capturing portraits at the locations special to them. The Staff Portrait Photographer has great judgment and is able to uphold Minted’s high standards for quality and customer service, possessing a high degree of professionalism and seasoned experience in the photography field.

The ideal photographer owns a DSLR camera, has an iPhone 6 or higher, has experience shooting photography on DSLR, and enjoys working with families and children. Since you will submit images directly to Minted, no photo retouching is required.

The Staff Portrait Photographer will be an integral part of launching this new service and must be ready to roll up their sleeves – working a full time schedule that will include weekends and evenings including during our busiest time of year - October through mid-December.

In order to access the Minted Photo Op mobile application, candidates are required to have access to an iPhone 6 or newer.

Responsibilities:

• Capture portrait photos of Minted customers
• Travel to photo shoots in a variety of locations throughout the Tri-State Area
• Upload photos immediately following photo shoots 
• Collaborate with Photographer Lead to make sure all photography sessions are covered
• Support evaluation of other Photographer candidates as needed
• Support scheduling and administration of photography sessions as needed
• Quickly develop knowledge of Minted products, etiquette, tools, and processes

Experience and Skills Required:

• Advanced skills in taking artistic images using a DSLR camera
• Experience in the photography field working with clients
• Experience as a family portrait photographer preferred
• Prioritization and time/task management skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Able to work under pressure and troubleshoot in the moment
• Team player – works hard and enjoys being part of a team
• Able to work evenings and weekends
• Able to travel throughout the Tri-State Area
