Role Overview
As a Strategic Account Manager at Cargomatic, you will manage and grow relationships with existing customer accounts, ensuring high satisfaction, retention, and profitable expansion. You will collaborate closely with operations, product, sales, and finance teams to deliver solutions that optimize freight execution and drive measurable results.
We are seeking a commercially driven, customer-focused professional with experience in logistics, transportation, or drayage operations. This role requires Strategic Account Managers to work on-site daily at one of our regional offices, enabling close collaboration with customers and operations teams to deliver exceptional service and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of customer accounts to drive retention, renewal, and expansion.
- Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling new services or lanes.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure operational excellence and timely issue resolution.
- Track account performance metrics including customer satisfaction (CSAT), renewal rates, and gross margin improvement.
- Present account insights and business reviews to customers and internal leadership.
- Contribute to revenue and profitability targets within your assigned territory.
Qualifications
- Must have 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or drayage account management.
- Proven success managing and expanding enterprise or port-based logistics accounts.
- Highly effective at developing strategic customer relationships and driving successful negotiations.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify growth trends.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, logistics, or a related field is required.
Compensation and Benefits
Cargomatic offers competitive compensation tailored to market conditions, experience, and performance, including base salary, performance-based incentive opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package. Expected salary ranges by location are:
- Seattle, WA: Base salary between $90,000 and $110,000, plus a performance-based incentive opportunity.
- San Francisco, CA: Base salary between $100,000 and $125,000, plus a performance-based incentive opportunity.
- Los Angeles, CA: Base salary between $90,000 and $115,000, plus a performance-based incentive opportunity.
- Phoenix, AZ: Base salary between $80,000 and $95,000, plus a performance-based incentive opportunity.
