TLDR

Lead supplier quality initiatives, auditing suppliers to AS 9100 standards and driving improvement across projects.

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with AS 9100 standards and Woodward-specific requirements.

  • Collaborate with customers and Woodward colleagues to communicate and enforce quality requirements to Woodward suppliers.

  • Utilize tools such as APQP, PPAP, and FAI to ensure the seamless launch of Woodward projects with suppliers.

  • Work closely with suppliers to address quality issues through data analysis and the application of RCCA (Root Cause and Corrective Action) methodologies.

  • Analyze supplier performance data to identify trends and implement improvement initiatives.

  • Partner with sourcing teams to evaluate and develop supplier capabilities while maintaining accurate quality records.

  • Travel domestically and internationally to conduct audits and support supplier improvement activities.

  • Participate in and management of upcoming projects as the responsible person from the SQE site, including internal transition, PTP, and others.

 What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Metallurgy, or a related field).

  • 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing (preferably in the aerospace industry).

  • Fluency in English and Polish is required

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

  • Solid understanding of AS 9100 and NADCAP requirements.

  • Proficient in quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, risk analysis, and root cause analysis.

  • Proven experience in conducting supplier audits and leading supplier improvement projects.

  • Expertise in Continuous Improvement methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.

  • Knowledge and experience in special processes, both technically and in auditing.
