Supplier Quality Engineer - Aerospace Mechanics
TLDR
Lead supplier quality initiatives, auditing suppliers to AS 9100 standards and driving improvement across projects.
What You Will Do:
Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with AS 9100 standards and Woodward-specific requirements.
Collaborate with customers and Woodward colleagues to communicate and enforce quality requirements to Woodward suppliers.
Utilize tools such as APQP, PPAP, and FAI to ensure the seamless launch of Woodward projects with suppliers.
Work closely with suppliers to address quality issues through data analysis and the application of RCCA (Root Cause and Corrective Action) methodologies.
Analyze supplier performance data to identify trends and implement improvement initiatives.
Partner with sourcing teams to evaluate and develop supplier capabilities while maintaining accurate quality records.
Travel domestically and internationally to conduct audits and support supplier improvement activities.
Participate in and management of upcoming projects as the responsible person from the SQE site, including internal transition, PTP, and others.
What You Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Metallurgy, or a related field).
3-5 years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing (preferably in the aerospace industry).
Fluency in English and Polish is required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
Solid understanding of AS 9100 and NADCAP requirements.
Proficient in quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, risk analysis, and root cause analysis.
Proven experience in conducting supplier audits and leading supplier improvement projects.
Expertise in Continuous Improvement methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
Knowledge and experience in special processes, both technically and in auditing.
