Tax CPA - Wealth Management & Advisory

We are seeking an experienced CPA to join a growing public accounting and advisory firm serving individuals, business owners, partnerships, trusts, and estates. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who wants to expand beyond traditional compliance and develop a long-term career in tax planning, estate planning, retirement planning, and wealth management.

The ideal candidate has 1–3+ years of public accounting or tax experience, holds an active CPA license, and enjoys working directly with clients. You will work alongside experienced tax and advisory professionals while gaining exposure to complex planning strategies and building lasting client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
• Prepare and assist with year-round tax planning, projections, and client-specific strategies.
• Research federal and state tax laws and apply them to client situations.
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and planning strategies for individuals and business owners.
• Assist with trust and estate tax matters and related planning.
• Support retirement planning, wealth management, and broader financial advisory services.
• Participate in client meetings and help communicate tax and financial planning recommendations.
• Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
• Collaborate with senior tax, accounting, and advisory professionals on complex engagements.
• Manage multiple client engagements, deadlines, and deliverables throughout the year.
• Maintain accurate workpapers, client records, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with accounting, bookkeeping, and other advisory services when needed.
• Stay current with changes in tax laws, regulations, and financial planning strategies.

Requirements

• Active CPA license required.
• 1–3+ years of public accounting or tax experience.
• Experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
• Strong understanding of federal and state tax compliance and regulations.
• Experience with partnerships, trusts, or estates is highly preferred.
• Interest in developing expertise in tax planning, estate planning, retirement planning, and wealth management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working directly with clients and building professional relationships.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to work additional hours during peak tax seasons.
• Ability to work on-site in Oradell, New Jersey.
