Tax Manager - Product Tax - Spanish market

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Work closely with our Product and Growth teams to enable the development of financial products - you will be the main point of contact for financial products related tax topics within the organization for Spain.
• Own the Spanish market as the subject matter expert for tax topics that relate to the entire product range of Trade Republic: securities, crypto, current accounts, cards.
• Drive tax product changes, improvements and requirements: frontend to backend.
• Ensure compliance with local tax reporting requirements, for customers and tax authorities.    
• Coordinate with our external partners, including financial institutions, service providers and tax advisors.
• Analyze existing and upcoming tax laws regarding their impact on Trade Republic’s existing and future business and take responsibility for necessary implementation.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Strong professional tax background. You don't need to be a capital markets tax expert. We are looking for someone who has a tax background and is willing to deep dive into everything tax and financial services.
• Experience in the financial services / banking sector is a plus.
• Reliable personality with high attention to detail.
• Strong communicator with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, clearly articulate complex tax topics succinctly.
• Self starter with the drive to work in a fast-paced, ever changing, high-growth organization.
• Spanish and English language skills are required (full professional proficiency).
