Team Leader - Open Source

You

Responsibilities:

• Will be closely working with the management teams and in collaboration with developers
• Shall follow good coding, testing and documenting practices and adhere to existing standards
• Shall participate in design and code review
• Shall adhere to good agile practices like Refactoring, Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration
• Will analyze requirements, wire-frames and capabilities of related systems to propose appropriate solutions and build prototypes when needed
• Will lead projects and oversee other developers which also involves technical planning, development, integration and deployment with required level of quality
• Shall practice clean, stable, unit-tested code and accompanying documentation where needed
• Shall mentor team members by sharing industry best practices using proven tools and techniques
• Will also continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and improve performance across teams.
• Shall foster a culture of self-learning amongst the team.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of industry experience developing large scale distributed software systems
• Knowledge of web technologies like PHP 5 and Nodejs
• Experience in JavaScript, jQuery and AngularJS.
• Experience in SQL, MySQL, Oracle
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs
• Strive for processes, quality and timely delivery
• Good communication and human relation skills
• Good Exposure to versioning systems like git, stash
• Experience building web services – WSDL, SOAP, REST
• Experience / Interest in Open-Source technologies and NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Redis etc
