Tech & Product Financial Business Partner
TLDR
Own the financial partnership for the CTO/CPO, delivering visibility and end-to-end Capex/OpEx oversight for software and infrastructure under IFRS.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budget and quarterly rolling forecasting cycles for the R&D and IT departments, including monthly variance analysis.
Financial Gatekeeping, Business Partnering & Business Cases:

Evaluate, under strict IFRS rules, new R&D phases and IT projects by calculating NPV, IRR, ROI, and Payback Periods to guide Product Committee decisions.

Partner with Engineering Leads to optimize headcount/freelancing spend, and track R&D Intensity/Innovation Effectiveness ratios.

Capex & Capitalization Management:

Define and enforce IAS 38 capitalization policies (IFRS guidelines), track hardware/software lifecycles, and coordinate month-end closing with Accounting.

Audit the internal time-tracking system to ensure accurate Project ID tagging, defending R&D Tax Credits and Capitalization audits and ensure strict IFRS compliance
- Tool Ownership: Own and build a dedicated Pigment app.

- Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive experience, specifically focused on R&D and project controlling.
- Accounting Knowledge: Strong IFRS knowledge, practical grasp of IAS 38 (Intangible Assets), and project accounting rules.
- Financial Modeling & Business Partnering: High proficiency in building complex financial models for forecasting, business cases, and scenario analysis (NPV, IRR) , combined with excellent interpersonal skills to challenge assumptions collaboratively across technical and product departments.
- Technical Tools: Advanced Excel, dashboarding solutions, and FP&A software (Pigment is a major plus; ERP knowledge advantageous).
- Languages: Fully fluent in both French and English to operate in an international European environment.
- Adaptability: Comfortable managing multiple priorities and milestone-tracking in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment.
