TLDR

Contribute to a production cell simulation system for cancer drug discovery, ensuring data consistency and orchestration of simulations within a cross-disciplinary bioinformatics team.

Dear future candidate!

This is a talent pool for connecting with great talents, such as you are for a future Bioinformatician opening!  We do not have the role open right now, so we will not be starting an active process with you now. However, it is expected that a similar position will open in the near future, so if you are interested and would like to share your profile with us in the meantime, you can do so here.

Turbine was founded on the premise that a predictive, computational model of biology would revolutionize drug discovery much like computer aided design software transformed engineering.

Our growing team of biologists, data scientists and software developers has spent the last years building this model, allowing researchers to design and refine therapies before running years of biological experiments. Through millions of simulated experiments, Turbine finds the shortest, safest route for new therapies to reach patients, enabling researchers to focus their resources on fighting disease in the most efficient way possible.

JOIN OUR BIOINFORMATICS TEAM!

We’re looking for a bioinformatician with strong experience in data scientist/bioinformatician with expertise in data science/data scientist to support Turbine’s drug discovery pipeline we’re building to fight cancer.
The team ensures the stability and data-consistency of the production cell simulation system. This involves the data transforming process to our relational database with the appropriate version-branching design, and the orchestration of the simulation engine. Also supporting the underlying architecture - containing the workflow mechanism, the software components - for our research users is an important part of our day-to-day work.

Why join us?

tackle an enormous, global challenge - We are building a community of researchers who will use Turbine to understand cancer and find new ways to beat it. Your job will be to develop our Simulated Cell model where researchers can set up and run thousands of simulated experiments.

build deep tech to make a better world - We created Turbine after 10+ years of research to do good and save lives. We're working to bring better drugs to patients, faster.

grow both professionally & personally - Over a decade of building teams and organizations, we've learned the best way to guarantee results is letting you make your own fortune. We won't spoon feed you solutions, but trust you to surprise us with a way of doing things we never could have imagined.

work with smart people from all walks of life - Your days will be spent in the company of doctors, bioinformaticians, biophysicists - we even have our own science philosopher. We encourage you to think beyond your own role - if you have anything to add. Similarly, your best solutions may come from sharing thoughts with a colleague from another team.

Turbine AI develops a pioneering computational model of human cellular biology that accelerates drug discovery and design for life-saving therapies. By integrating molecular biology with data science and AI, our platform enables researchers to conduct millions of simulated experiments, honing in on the safest and most efficient routes to bring new treatments to patients.
