UX Lead

User Experience at Travaux, Werkspot and Instapro

The role of user experience within our organization is to truly understand our customers on both sides of our digital marketplace and use this knowledge to create solutions that meet their needs and exceed their expectations - while delivering the company mission and achieving business results. Additionally, UX is key in driving the vision to shape the future of how our customers will interact with our company and product. You will be joining a multidisciplinary UX team that is extremely skilled, knowledgeable, creative, empathetic, enthusiastic, curious and fun!

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced UX Lead who constantly advocates for the voice of the customer and fosters a shared understanding of user centred design within the organization. You will provide leadership and direction for initiatives within your core product teams across the areas of UX/UI design, user research and product copy and content. This role supports two consumer (homeowner)-facing tracks working mostly on a responsive web platform. You will also play an important role in developing and delivering the company-wide user experience strategy and strengthening the expertise and collaboration of the UX team.

What you’ll be doing

  • Build strong relationships and operating methods both inside and outside your core product teams
  • Use business metrics, user analytics, customer feedback, technical requirements, competitive analysis and usability best practices to inform decisions and solutions
  • Define the UX vision and develop proof of concepts as well as the plans for evolutionary, iterative changes that bring this larger vision to life
  • Guide appropriate scale and fidelity of design, copy and research solutions from the simple to complex within your track
  • Work hands-on in creating a diverse range of artifacts such as flows, wireframes, layouts, facilitation guides, etc. for your projects
  • Lead, manage and mentor UX team members with their work as well as support their career growth
  • Uphold operational excellence in processes, methodologies and artifacts

Who you are

  • Creative, open to learning new things and embracing diverse ideas
  • 6+ years of experience in UX design or related field - meaning you have attained a significant amount of experience in discovering, defining and designing well-thought through and well-performing user experiences 
  • Experienced in team leadership
  • Strong UX copywriting and editing skills
  • Proficient in UX tooling: Figma, copy localization software, UX research testing and repository software
  • Effective written communication and presentation skills across all levels of organizational audiences (in English)

Our Product, Technology and UX department currently consists of 4 tracks and approximately 100 professionals, from all over the world: Brasil, Canada, India, France, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Italy, The Netherlands, South Africa, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Turkey, the UK, and the USA. Each track focuses on the most valuable opportunity within their given scope. Within the tracks, multidisciplinary product development teams collaborate on achieving the goals that they set and commit to each quarter. We approach our decisions in an experiment-guided and Agile way: we validate new directions using a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
