Validation Engineering Intern [Fall 2026]

Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.
We are looking for a Validation Engineering Intern for Fall 2026 to support the design, automation, and execution of system-level validation across our humanoid platform. This internship is designed for students in their final year of an undergraduate or master’s program, as well as recent graduates who are on track to complete their degree by the end of 2026, or the following year.
Responsibilities:
- Architect hardware and software solutions for validating humanoid subsystems (actuators, batteries, cameras, sensors).
- Write Python scripts to automate validation and regression testing.
- Contribute to the development of a CI/CD pipeline for hardware/firmware/software integration.
- Debug and resolve software regressions and hardware issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- Graduate student or recent graduate in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 12-week internship, 1 to 2 terms preferred.
- Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering.
- Proficiency with Python or a similar programming language.
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers and embedded systems.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with firmware development in C.
- Exposure to PCB design and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on work with sensors, motors, or electromechanical systems.
