Gold‑standard care, a purpose‑built clinic, and a genuinely supportive team.

About the Clinic

Swan Street Vet has been caring for the Richmond community from our state‑of‑the‑art, purpose‑built clinic on Swan Street. We’re an experienced team of veterinarians and nurses delivering gold‑standard veterinary care with a strong focus on preventative medicine, wellbeing, and high clinical standards.

Our clinic is known for its professional yet welcoming culture, where teamwork, clear communication, and genuine care for both pets and their people sit at the heart of everything we do.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our team in a full‑time position, working standard clinic hours. This is a varied and hands‑on role suited to a nurse who enjoys clinical work, values strong client relationships, and takes pride in maintaining high standards across the clinic.

You’ll work closely with our 3 Veterinarians and Nursing team of 4, contributing across surgery, patient care, nurse consults, and reception when required (we have a dedicated Client Relations team as well).

What you’ll be doing:
• Supporting vets across surgery, anaesthesia, and patient care
• Providing high‑quality nursing care and monitoring patients throughout their visit
• Assisting with nurse consults and preventative health services
• Supporting front‑of‑house duties including reception, phone enquiries, and client communication
• Delivering warm, professional service to clients and their pets
• Contributing to a positive, supportive, and collaborative team environment
• Working part‑time hours during standard clinic hours

What We’re Looking For

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
• Previous clinical experience as a Veterinary Nurse
• Confidence across general nursing, surgical support, and patient handling
• Experience with reception duties and client communication
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of care
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• A reliable, flexible, and team‑focused approach
