Corporate Administration
The Corporate Administration team consists of the senior executives starting with our CEO and all C-level executives as well as group leaders responsible for areas such as Legal, Human Resources, Corporate Development and Strategy. This is a highly talented and well-functioning team that is responsible for the overall success of Vantage. The executive team meets on a regular basis and determines how to best provide direction and allocate resources for the company.
Position Overview
Vantage’s Corporate Development and Strategy team is responsible for the company’s value creation strategy through initiatives including organic investments in new markets and regions, as well as acquisitions to help rapidly scale our reach and capabilities. Our work includes sourcing, negotiating, structuring, and executing strategic acquisitions and deploying capital investments across all Vantage’s geographies. The VP, Corporate Development will collaborate with our regional leadership teams to drive the evaluation and execution of M&A and other strategic investment initiatives.
Essential Job Functions
- Identification, assessment and execution of potential mergers, acquisitions, investments and partnerships
- Executing divestitures of non-core businesses
- Collaborate with senior leaders and investors to source and track deal opportunities
- Guide cross-functional teams through the diligence process including necessary financial analysis, qualifying risks, and preliminary integration plans to ensure seamless deal execution
- Drive other strategic projects such as partnerships, land acquisition and market expansion
- Manage key deliverables including creating necessary materials for our board and investors
- Ability to build and maintain good relationships across the organization while working under tight deadlines
Job Requirements
- 15+ years of transaction experience in Corporate Development or M&A at a large global companies or investment banks
- MBA or relevant graduate degree from top-tier institution or similar academic / professional experience
- Significant experience in guiding teams to execute all aspects of transactions including direct experience in M&A negotiation, structuring, execution and integration
- Experience working in a demanding environment with highly motivated and driven professionals
- Ability to handle projects with multiple workstreams, with proven success over a wide variety of functional business problems
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to structure and manage complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with
multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels - Work well in a dynamic, evolving environment
- Experience managing and working with third-party advisors, including financial advisors, law firms, accounting firms and other consultants and advisors
- Consider and balance risks arising from multiple areas (accounting, legal, tax, compliance)
- Excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities; ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior managers and external investors
- Global or multi-national business experience preferred
- Data center experience is strongly preferred, but not required
- Travel required is expected to be less than 25%, but may increase over time as the business evolves
