Turn your passion for collecting into a career at Collectors. We're the leader in third-party authentication and grading services for high-value collectibles including trading cards (Professional Sports Authenticator), coins (Professional Coin Grading Services), video games (Wata), event tickets, autographs, and memorabilia. We also have a virtual marketplace (aka "Goldin"), which is a hyper-growth start-up within Collectors; a luxury digital marketplace supporting hundreds of millions of dollars of transactions a year. If you’re a collectibles enthusiast, or if you want to help us in leading the global expansion of the collectibles market through our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation, we’d love to hear from you.

We are looking for a VP of Fulfillment to lead our vault operations team in New Castle Delaware and the Goldin warehouse team in Runnemede New Jersey.  As a member of our leadership team, you will have multi-site responsibility for all fulfillment and warehouse operations including receiving, check-in, putaway, inventory control, and shipment of collectables at both locations. Every step of the logistics process will report into your org.

Reporting to the COO of Collectors, our ideal candidate is a collaborative, results oriented, change management leader with the ability to drive teams towards achieving ambitious safety, accuracy, service, and execution of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) measurements through focus, prioritization and efficient use of resources.  You will partner with our product, engineering, customer support, auction services, and sales teams to make buying and selling frictionless for our customers. You will work to increase our throughput and efficiency, while keeping collectors top of mind. This role will include both the development of new processes  and continuous improvement of existing methods as we integrate new system capabilities and prepare to meet increasing volume. Through your leadership, you will have the opportunity to build and develop a world class team, creating an environment of accountability, service, operational excellence, enthusiasm, and pride in the workplace.

This position will be required to work out of the Northeast with visits to both locations on a rotational basis.

What You'll Do

  • Lead from the front, to establish an operational culture where all safety, quality, service, and execution objectives for the fulfillment/warehouse teams are met.
  • Scale our operation, from moving tens of thousands of unique SKUs/year to moving hundreds of thousands of unique SKUs/year by establishing systemic and process improvements to increase throughput
  • Listen, decide, communicate: meet the team, learn their roles and our current process and make a strategic action plan on what needs to be changed or reinvented, setting us up for more scale while improving core metrics
  • Build and convert current operational processes to successfully implement a warehouse management system in both the vault and Goldin warehouse.
  • Align and enhance operational processes to support customer SLA’s including fast, accurate, and trackable shipment of collectables.
  • Instill a sense of urgency, a pride of workplace and an ownership mindset within everything from how the warehouse looks to how it functions and performs.
  • Develop effective scorecards and reporting that empowers the team through relevant, real time data that measures, reports, and connects activities to achieving objectives
  • P&L responsibility for variable costs of operational activities

Who You Are

  • Driven Operations executive with at least 15 years of experience including start-up and rebuilding SOP’s in warehouse and fulfillment center operations

  • A leader who fosters and builds a culture of safety, accountability, accuracy, standard, and execution by example
  • Experience with start-ups and  change management, inheriting teams and bringing them along for the journey, moving with urgency and empowering those around you to do the same
  • Able to  analyze, adjust, and achieve performance objectives by applying relevant, timely forecast and performance data
  • Proven track record of increasing throughput through process improvement and systems integration
  • You have strategic to tactical range and can switch your day between working with the executive team, planning our product UI and throughput analyses, to working with team members on the warehouse floor
