OVERVIEW
The VP, Revenue Cycle Services is an integral part of the Tegria RCM operational leadership team responsible for proactively identifying, developing, and implementing revenue cycle improvements, efficiencies, and strategies to support the growth of Tegria RCM and to ensure a successful relationship for the clients they support.
Additionally, this position will provide the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure that Tegria RCM has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.
Responsibilities include:
Planning and Strategy
- Participates in developing and implementing a strategic plan that supports the organization’s vision and goals; translates the strategic plan to staff to ensure support; and modifies the plan in response to changing internal and external factors
- Partners with other executive team members in setting policies and determining strategies to meet or exceed revenue, profit, and cash flow commitments to the company
- Analyzes current and future trends and needs; accurately assesses functional responsibilities competitive strengths and vulnerabilities
- Identifies opportunities for new value creation
- Anticipate and plan for changes to current organizational policies, practices, systems, etc. needed to move in new strategic directions and to ensure long-term business viability
- Keeps informed of developments in healthcare non-clinical, healthcare management and revenue cycle management
- Responsible for identifying client needs, develop and seek buy-in on solutions and manage through the change process at the account level
- Serves as a subject matter expert to review accounts from a global perspective and provide recommendations to leadership
- Conduct formal periodic review meetings with client(s) to: review performance; surface any threats and opportunities; discuss new ideas and solutions
- Effectively manage customer's requests for program deviations that may negatively impact our ability to efficiently deliver services. Resolve issues through proper channels in the organization with customer's perspective in mind. Act strategically when confronted with barriers
- Responsible for ensuring all accounts meet SLAs and customer satisfaction targets

Financial & Resource Management
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining budget and resource allocation plans
- Direct the functions of budgeting, accounting, reporting, financial counseling of the leadership team to appraise operating results in terms of costs, budget, operating policies, trends and increased profit opportunities. Analyze revenue, profit and cash flow opportunities for the business and recommend actions
- Responsible for developing targets and goals for achievement each fiscal year that ensure the overall success of operation
- Design and deliver an agile organizational structure that enables the movement of people and resources quickly to address client needs
- Establishes, coordinates, and administers, as an integral part of management, an adequate structure for delivery of effective and efficient administrative operations
Leadership and Engagement
- Leading by example, upholds, safeguards, and promotes Tegria RCM’s mission and values.
- Builds and maintains a departmental structure, operating standards and practices that are responsive and adaptable to evolving business needs
- Develops and implements a talent plan to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time to meet the strategic needs of the organization.
- Manages employee performance by establishing clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against the goals, ensuring timely feedback, and addressing performance problems and issues promptly
- Ensures continuous improvement of customer satisfaction through programs to reduce deviations, provide for on-time delivery, and meet customer quality and cost expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent experience and education
- Eight (8) years of progressively responsible management experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle with at least (5) years in a leadership role as Director or above managing professional fee billing operations (PB)
- Hands on knowledge and in-depth experience across RCM functions, KPI’s and understanding of upstream and downstream end-to-end RCM functions.
- Proven ability to build a successful team by identifying, recruiting, developing, and retaining first-class talent at all levels while inspiring and motivating teams to achieve the highest levels of quality delivery.
- Requires extensive experience in judgment, influence, and the ability to work under pressure in a calm, professional manner
- Flexible and able to multitask; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems
- Executive presence and ability to work across all levels of the organization and with the clients they serve, collaborating to deliver best possible solution.
- Superior communication, interpersonal, facilitation skills.
- Ability to simplify complex issues and communicate effectively across multiple stakeholders to forge consensus around credible executable solutions.
- Skilled in organizational development, talent management, financial planning and analysis, budget, and resource development, and strategic planning
- Knowledge of principles and practices of modern management and administration; governmental policy, project management; and personnel management
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of integrity, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to build consensus, and put a strong emphasis on responsibility and accountability
- A penchant for being proactive and a “sensible risk taker” with an intelligent point of view
- Ability to anticipate the implications and consequences of situations and taking appropriate action to be prepared for possible contingencies
- Travel: Requires travel to client sites on a regular basis and could include overnight stays
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- California payer experience
