VP of Consumer Marketing - B2B and B2C

We are looking for a Vice President of Marketing who has an outstanding record of leadership in a high-growth company in digital health, technology and media. The ideal candidate is a visionary and a big thinker who is passionate about Ovia Health’s mission and the communities of women and parents we serve. We are looking for a team leader as well as a driven, high-performer who thrives in fast-paced environments, and a proven track record of motivating and developing a team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Strategize and implement the Ovia Health marketing strategy, plan, and positioning for Ovia’s Consumer business unit, with a focus on account-based B2B marketing to brands and agencies, and B2C audience growth and engagement
- Represent the brand and consumer voice as we continue to grow our mobile app audience
- Work closely with the General Manager, media sales and account management teams to appeal to advertisers and partners that align with the Ovia brand, mission and voice including owning our go to market strategy, sales materials and all aspects of pre- and post-sales integrated marketing programs
- Measurably and substantially grow our brand awareness, community, and business
- Develop and execute innovative, authentic and measurable strategies and tactics to broaden the demographic composition of our user base across all distribution channels: mobile apps, email and social
- Develop and execute a content strategy to ensure that the depth of the brand and the work of our solutions are well-known and understood by both consumers and clients
- Be the owner and gatekeeper of the Consumer-facing brand and voice across the organization and externally with press, influencers and industry organizations
- Develop, manage and allocate the Consumer marketing budget in order to meet short and long-term strategic objectives
- Lead the team responsible for integrated marketing, creative services, content, social and email strategy, brand promotions and partnerships, public relations, and media partnerships
- Make data-driven decisions to hit company goals, and cultivate a team culture of performance and accountability
- Serve as an evangelist for our brand and products through thought leadership and blogging, social media, and speaking engagements
- Keep the company up-to-date with market trends and competition
Requirements
- Communication and storytelling. You're able to communicate the company’s incredible mission and vision to a diverse set of stakeholders (consumers, brands, agencies, industry organizations and press), telling and evolving the story in a compelling way
- Influencing. You’re able to convince others to adopt your way of thinking and your vision. You’re able to gain and mobilize support from others. This may look like different things: a willingness to pitch a new program to our CEO or a willingness to help pitch business to a prospective customer.
- Metrics orientation and decision-making. A decisive and quantitative leader who takes informed risks, motivates others, and produces high-quality results.
- Entrepreneurial. You’re an innovative thinker who will identify opportunities to build our brand and enhance user acquisition outside of the traditional marketing realm.
- Organization and time management skills. You're a pro at keeping track of and organizing all the details and deadlines associated with key relationships, ensuring no ball is dropped. You have deep experience in the media sales and marketing workflow and ecosystem.
- Experience. 10+ years building great consumer brands, and a network of marketing experts and resources to tap into.
- Thrives in fast paced environments, embracing and leading through change and ambiguity
- Flexible and creative mindset with the ability to overcome obstacles with a positive outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
