As a VP of Engineering you will be responsible for all Engineering aspects related to DoubleVerify’s  Analytics platform as well as Services Activation and Configuration systems. You will ideate, design, create and operate scalable frameworks and platforms empowering DV’s engineering teams to effectively deliver industry leading solutions. Hire, onboard, educate, support, inspire and lead talented engineers and managers. Define and instill SDLC processes and methodologies taming the complexity of modern software development. You will report to SVP of Engineering and oversee multiple development teams and workstreams.

What will you do:

• Manage, lead and support 2-3 Engineering Directors with extended team of 40+ engineers
• Design, extend and operate mission critical systems processing billions of events per day, reliably produce >10K reports per day and utilize big-data technologies and high scalability architectural styles
• Build software components and platforms utilizing modern technology stack: Snowflake, Apache Beam, k8s, Looker, Angular, .net Core, Mongo
• Integrate with industry leading platforms, establish cross-organizational processes and create effective and reliable APIs to support them
• Lead the ideation, design and implementation of internal frameworks and platforms supporting vertical development processes
• Promote high quality and engineering craftsmanship 
• Oversee and optimize the hiring, onboarding and retention processes of top talent
• Collaborate and partner with the Product Management organization to develop a strong products roadmap and technology plan that drives business success
• Effectively execute the technical roadmap and manage the people, the process, the schedule and the communication related to software development.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in technology related position
• 6+ years managing and leading engineering teams 
• 4+ years managing Engineering Managers and Directors of Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in developing cloud native solution, preferably in GCP
• Highly technical background in cloud/SaaS platform development and operation
• Broad knowledge of programming languages, software architecture, design and database systems
• Proven experience with creating software frameworks and/or platforms used by engineers 
• Experience with big-data architectural styles and technologies (Kafka, Snowflake, k8s, Apache Beam or equivalent technologies)
• Proven success in recruiting, creating, and motivating a strong performing engineering team
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

• Excellent organization, project and task management skills
• BS,MS, or PHD degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent technical experience
