Position Overview:
Zenni is seeking a VP of Finance to join our executive team and work in close partnership with the CEO and Senior leadership. This individual will be instrumental in shaping the company's financial vision and strategy. In this role, the VP of Finance will provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the company, ensuring the financial practices in place continuously support and drive the company's business goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary financial leadership to support our company's strategy, guiding financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Track strategic initiatives as multi-year investments for Zenni and apply proper emphasis or throttle to maximize the multi-year growth trajectory of the company.
- Finetune business operational parameters such as marketing spend, pricing, promotions, etc. to optimize the business outcome in terms of growth and profit.
- Benchmark against competitors to ensure proper business efficiency measures are in place
- Financial Management: Oversee all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities, including the management and coordination of budgeting, forecasting, auditing, tax, accounting, capital asset management, and real estate functions.
- Risk Management: Identify, manage, and mitigate key financial and operational risks.
- Analysis & Reporting: Develop and deliver timely and accurate financial reports to the executive team, and shareholders. Analyze data to provide insights on revenue growth, cost management, and profitability.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and expand the finance team, ensuring ongoing professional growth and the ability to meet the demands of a growing e-commerce business.
- Operational Efficiency: Drive process improvements and automation across financial systems and tools, ensuring accuracy, international compliance and scalability.
- Stakeholder Relations: Engage with external stakeholders, including financial institutions, investors, auditors, public officials, and other partners.
- Compliance & Regulation: Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations and maintain knowledge of industry trends and legislation that might affect the company.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of senior financial management experience, with a proven track record in e-commerce or retail industries.
- Strong analytical, strategic-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage large budgets and forecast with accuracy.
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience in team development and C-level collaboration.
- Proficiency in advanced financial software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate financial strategies to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the intricacies of the eyewear industry is a plus.

As of 08/15/2023, the expected compensation range for this position is $275,000 to $350,000 USD. Actual pay within this range will be based upon several factors, including without limitation education, work experience, certifications, geographic pay differentials, market conditions, and other business and organizational needs. The Company anticipates that the reasonably expected salary for this position could change in the future and, therefore, the Company retains the right to change, modify, or revisit the salary range for the position for various reasons, including the Company’s business needs.
