Responsibilities

 Quality, client satisfaction, efficiency, and completion of deliverables are key to the PM role. Because there are many web design projects and marketing campaigns under varying stages of development, the PM must use organization, communication and troubleshooting skills to prioritize multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.

 The ideal candidate for the PM role has a background in communications, design, PR, managing web development projects and experience working with multiple clients or stakeholders simultaneously.

Overall, the position holder will be required to:

• Provide end-to-end ‘hands-on’ project management of both small and large-scale projects throughout their life cycle
• From initial scoping phase, through planning, estimating and budgeting, scheduling, design and development and full implementation
• Scope digital projects with clients; Understanding their individual requirements and creating accurate documentation, including creative design briefs, functional specifications and sitemaps
• Deliver operational excellence; With the ability to anticipate potential issues and dependencies, highlight project risks, and manage to change business and technical requirements by effectively suggesting solutions or contingency plans at the appropriate stage of projects
• Be authoritative and efficient; Ability to direct and lead others confidently and have tough conversations with our team and our clients, where appropriate
• Be analytical with great attention to detail; Ensuring consistent improvement in the quality of our output
• Producing appropriate documentation in support of digital projects including project and resourcing plans, risk and issue logs functional and technical specifications, and regular project/client and budget reports
• Have an excellent understanding of web projects and implementation methodologies
• Oversee the development of each digital account and increasing the volume of work when appropriate. Spotting and developing opportunities for our clients, turning projects into accounts and provide account management support for all digital new business activity.
  

Percent Breakdown

• 20% client interaction (phone calls, meetings, emails, client training, etc.)
• 30% developing web project specifications and managing schedules of web designers and web developers (acting as internal POC for projects you're managing)
• 10% outlining design/user experience specifications
• 10% testing content management systems and e-commerce store functionality and user experience
• 10% development of website information architecture
• 10% project and website quality assurance
• 10% website conversion rate optimization and UX testing

Project Management Skills / Experience

• Should have experience of Scrum or Agile or Waterfall.
• Managed web development projects
• Experience in risk management & mitigation strategies
• Experience working with contributing toward a PMO
• Managing resource planning and raising issues (I.e. under/over resourcing, project slip, scope creep, etc)
• Take project governance seriously and always looking to find better ways of working
• Delivered creative projects using a CMS solution for Wordpress or Sitecore.
• Budget awareness: Maintain up-to-date understanding of spend on projects so to provide accurate feedback to management.

Required Skills/competencies/qualities

• Bachelors Degree in Business, Design, Communication, Marketing or related field
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Exceptional eye for aesthetically pleasing websites, social media branding, and online display advertising
• Experience setting and communicating priorities to project teams, while managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Excels at delivering projects on-time and within budget, meeting high-quality standards and customer expectations
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Photoshop or HTML skills are a bonus but are not required
