BDR Team Lead

About the Role

We are looking for a BDR Team Lead to join our Commercial Operations team. This role will serve as a hands-on leader for the BDR team, with primary responsibility for day-to-day coaching, BDR development, workflow refinement, and performance support. The Team Lead will partner closely with BDRs, Regional Vice Presidents of Sales, marketing, and business development leadership to improve execution consistency, pipeline quality, and team effectiveness.

This role carries both a small personal quota and a team quota, but the emphasis is on coaching and enabling others to perform at a high level. The ideal candidate is a strong operator and communicator who can reinforce process discipline, improve outreach quality, support onboarding and ramp, and help the team generate stronger results over time. This is a salary + commission role.

This is a fully remote opportunity within the US.

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Coach and support BDRs through regular 1:1s, call and email reviews, role plays, and in-the-moment feedback

  • Monitor and improve team performance across key metrics such as activity pacing, meetings, conversion, CRM hygiene, and lead follow-up

  • Partner with Regional Vice Presidents of Sales to align on account priorities, discovery-call preparation, communication plans, and next steps

  • Support onboarding and ramp for new hires through structured training, ongoing coaching, and reinforcement of team processes

  • Contribute to both personal and team quota attainment through targeted prospecting, strong execution, and consistent operational follow-through

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

  • 4+ years of experience in business development, sales development, sales support, or another quota-carrying commercial role

  • 2+ year of experience coaching, mentoring, onboarding, or leading peers in a sales or business development environment

  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales and marketing partners in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience using Salesforce and modern sales engagement tools such as Outreach or Salesloft

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a player-coach, team lead, or hybrid BDR and sales support role

  • Experience tracking and improving team performance metrics such as meetings, pipeline, conversion rates, SLA adherence, and CRM hygiene

  • Familiarity with tools such as 6sense, Highspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and AI-enabled prospecting workflows

  • Experience supporting complex or multi-threaded deals

  • Demonstrated tenacity, organization, resilience, and a strong coaching mindset

Work Model
