Job Description:

Tridge is looking for a Coffee Sourcing Manager who would be overseeing and expediting Tridge's green coffee beans sourcing activity in the origin countries and potentially neighboring countries

The Coffee Sourcing Managers will be part of the Commodity Trading Team, housed under the Global Growth and Operations Division. S/he will work closely with Commodity Trading Team’s analysts/traders at HQ and Tridge’s Coffee Trading and Sales Managers in destination markets. Tridge is set to be one of the biggest investors in the global coffee industry and the Coffee Sourcing Managers’ daily work will comprise a wide spectrum of tasks from researching the local supply chain and supplier country intel to building relationships with local coffee market players (e.g., participating in seminars held by local coffee exporters and government-run associations)

*This position is to be fully remote.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Developing a sourcing strategy to diversify Tridge’s coffee bean portfolio to provide customized global sourcing solutions to our customers and maximize their procurement efficiency
• Building relationships with local exporters and milling plants by making site visits and participating in seminars, etc.
• Gathering origin market intelligence and reporting it to HQ Commodity Trading Team to aid in sourcing strategy development and Tridge platform feature development (e.g., yearly coffee production forecast reports)
• Working closely with Coffee Trading and Sales Managers in the destination market to understand recent buyer market trends
• Reporting changes in origin countries’ policies that may affect Tridge’s coffee trading business in the short/long run
• Becoming a pioneer for Tridge’s Commodity Trading Team in the origin country to take Tridge to the next level of becoming an all-round trading platform
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Passion for communicating, negotiating, and developing close relationships with people
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Spoken and written English skill of business level or higher
• Ability to adapt quickly to the fast-paced working environment
• Strong self-motivation and willingness to learn and deal with new industries
• Capability to handle multiple works with great time-management skills and responsibility

Preferred backgrounds:

• 5 - 10 years of experience in any relevant field including international coffee trading houses, local coffee export, and local coffee associations
• Native or excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
• Active and eager to grow fast with a “roll up your sleeves” mentality
• Presentation and client communication skills are essential
• Open to new ideas, and comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback
• Comfortable with engaging in multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines
