Customer Onboarding Specialist

As a Tipalti Customer Onboarding Specialist, you will leverage your extensive customer service experience working cross functionally and directly with customers. The successful candidate will be driven, meticulous, and passionate about ensuring new customers are onboarded efficiently through a best in class experience. This role will be a key contributor to the Sales Operation Team’s dedication to efficiency, effectiveness, and process improvement. You are joining Tipalti at a foundational time as we begin to streamline processes and experiment with different approaches to improve efficiency and timeliness of onboarding new customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to both external customers and internal customers (Sales, Legal, Implementation, and Compliance Teams)
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple internal teams to ensure timely delivery of each step of the order form closing and customer onboarding process.
  • Establish and maintain cross functional service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure onboarding completion and approval to use our solutions.
  • Manage all document collection of new and current customers, including order forms, amendments, KYC and supporting documentation. 
  • Communicate directly with customers via phone and email to follow up on outstanding documents.
  • Strategize, drive improvement and document our onboarding processes as well as troubleshoot existing roadblocks.
  • Bonus points if you have a general understanding of the KYC (Know Your Customer) requirements.

Requirements

  • Two or more years in high volume data entry, customer service and high volume account/customer coordination.
  • Extremely organized with strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Must be very detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment with a large workflow.
  • Effective communication (verbal and written) and relationship-building skills.
  • Genuinely care about people and helping others achieve their goals.
  • Must be computer literate; Intermediate level skills with MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat are required.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com, and Docusign required.
  • Bonus Points for Deal Desk or direct sales experience.
