Editorial Intern

TLDR

Research and write compelling culture coverage; curate social content; attend events to capture material for cross-team storytelling.

Responsibilities:
  • Research and write compelling news articles on contemporary culture.
  • Curate, write and schedule engaging social media posts across Hypebeast’s regional platforms.
  • Identify emerging tastemakers in the industry.
  • Attend events on behalf of Hypebeast to capture and edit content that fits the visual style.
  • Keep on top of social media trends and audience engagement to optimize content.
  • Collaborate with the editorial, video and social teams to align content with ongoing stories and features.
  • Support the team in brainstorming and pitching new content ideas.
  • Participate in editorial meetings and contribute to the overall content strategy.
  • Support operations and project management by maintaining project trackers and assisting with team communications.
  • Requirements:
  • Strong interest in contemporary culture.
  • Excellent writing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Basic social-first image and video editing experience.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to identify credible sources.
  • Prior experience in writing or social media management is a plus but not required.
