Firewall Administrator
TLDR
Implement and troubleshoot VPNs, create firewall rules, and support multiple large firewall upgrades using Check Point or other major platforms.
Client: Utitlities Company
Position: Firewall Administrator
Term: 1 year contract
Pay: $57/Hr - $60/Hr
Location: Tampa, FL 3 days on site
Note: After hours work should be expected for implementations 7pm EST or MT at least once a week.
Work Authorization: USC or GC ONLY
Experience:
- 3+ Years of experience upgrading, deploying, and implementing new firewalls
- VPN knowledge: creation, configuration, troubleshooting
- Understanding of ICS protocols (ICS, Modbus, CIP) -Experience in a Regulatory business (Socs, Nerc cip, etc)
- Check Point Firewalls preferred, but experience with some firewall platform in Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Cisco or Sophos
- Fundamental Understanding of routing and switching
Responsibilities:
- Supporting firewall tickets and investigations
- Troubleshooting Firewalls and creating firewall rules if it doesn’t work.
- Their time will be spent implementing new VPNs and troubleshooting VPNs.
- They will be supporting multiple large firewall upgrades in the organization.
