Job Descriptioon

The job entails identifying ways you can improve your lesson's flow and suggest changes needed within specific pieces, so everything comes together seamlessly. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Proofreading and copy editing content to correct spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors in ELA and Math lessons
  • Follow the in-house style guides
  • Identifying and getting rid of instances that may be construed as stereotypes, prejudice or bias (sensitivity read)
  • Enhancing the flow of the content
  • Making sure the visuals are editorially sound and work well with the text
  • Adhering to deadlines

 

Primary Skills 

Editing; Proofreading; English Language Skills

 

Seconday Skills

Knowledge of American vocabulary, spellings and culture.
