Head of Business Performance and Risk
We own and manage c.7,000 homes in the east of England, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders within our communities. Here at Havebury Housing Partnership we are looking for the Head of Business Performance and Risk who will be responsible for the provision of a performance framework for the business driving continuous improvement supporting achievement of objectives. This role provides assurance to the business around its performance and operational risk activities.
Requirements
Outline of Key Responsibilities:
- Providing an effective performance management framework to support delivery of key organisational objectives. Including analysis and insight into our data as well as monitoring business performance including TSMs
- Working with the business, you’ll embed a culture of proactively managing organisational risk including supporting the identification of mitigations and controls. Leading the board in identification and articulation of their risk appetite and reporting to Board and committees on the most up to date risk profile of business operations
- Gathering and interpreting our teams’ requirements, you’ll lead the team to design and optimise Power BI solutions to meet these. You’ll turn data into insight, supporting teams to make the right decisions and improve services
- Provide accurate and effective reporting from our data warehouses to report on performance and inform decision making including reporting to Board and Committees
- Annual delivery plan – Partner with the business to prepare its annual delivery plan with associated performance framework and reporting to Leadership Team, Board and committees on progress
- Liaising with internal audit provider and the Audit Committee, develop the three-year internal audit programme, monitoring and reporting on outcomes from recommendations
We are looking for someone who has…
- Relevant qualifications in e.g. Finance/accounting, statistics, project/change management, risk and audit or Equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of the social housing sector, including governance, compliance and regulatory frameworks, global sector risks, performance reporting and benchmarking
- Understanding of data warehouse management, MS T-SQL scripting and SQL Server Reporting Services. Advanced MS Excel and Power BI user
- Experience and knowledge of performance, compliance and risk management issues in a social housing context or similar sector
- Able to sustain confidence, lead, negotiate with and influence a wide range of stakeholders including tenants, board/committee members, executive leadership, colleagues, contractors and partner agencies
