Requirements
We are hiring Group Head of Pricing to take our pricing and packaging approach to the next level and drive significant upside
Your role will involve partnering with a mix of the Executive leader(s) of our verticals, their Sales leaders and sales teams and help improve their understanding of what drives pricing and change their habits and mindset around pricing generally. In addition, you will be working in close collaboration with members of Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, M&A, Finance, Marketing, and Business improvement teams to deliver outcomes.
This is a role that requires strategic thinking, commercial acumen, problem solving skills, analytical skills, stakeholder management experience, transformational change management skills and an ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve all aspects of pricing & packaging so as to create, refine and deliver best in class pricing & packaging strategy including
o Pricing setting
o Price optimisation including impact of competitive position
o New product launch price (mostly module upsell)
o Packaging and proposition design & pricing
o Pricing strategies for cross-sell within and across our verticals, in particular where the contracting approach, pricing basis and pricing metrics may vary between products being sold in the same markets
o M&A integration and pricing synergy capture
o Defining & delivering the scope and nature of deal desk capabilities for our larger opportunities
o Our pricing tooling was developed 4 years ago with input from external advisers and is excel based, we expect to migrate to CPQ tooling and one of your roles will be to research & input to options as well as lead the work on the subsequent implementation
o Design & deliver pricing training and enablement
Governance, target setting and monitoring, expansion of pricing analysis
Essential competencies:
· Experience in Pricing strategy (both price setting and price getting) together with proposition & packaging strategy expertise, ideally in a software context
· Exceptional strategic thinking skills and problem-solving ability
· Experience of partnering with and influencing Executive Leadership to drive business acceleration
· Strong analytical ability, interest in drawing insights from data. Enjoys analysis and a data-led approach to pricing
· Strategy or Management consulting experience from a top tier strategy consulting firm is a plus (in particular to drive the change management agenda)
· Experience of working with Private Equity backed businesses is a further plus
· Connector of dots and a collaborator who can work across all teams and functions
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Self-starter with a hands-on, can-do attitude
· Driven, enthusiastic professional who can work in a fast-paced environment
