Head of Product - Payments
Mollie helps more than 120,000 entrepreneurs grow by offering convenient, safe and worldwide payment solutions. Within the Payments domain, we are responsible for Mollie’s core product, which are the Online payments services that we build to help our customers grow.
Given that most, if not all of our merchants' revenues are coming through Mollie, there is a considerable opportunity to help our merchants grow with additional payment methods and ancillary features & products. We aim to be the most loved PSP in Europe, so we are extremely customer obsessed and we make no concessions in the user Experience.
In the coming years, we have the ambition to localize our payments offering in a fast-expanding set of international markets, while enabling the growth of customers with cutting-edge payments products and features. Your Opportunity:
As the Head of Payment Products you will drive the short- and long-term direction for the Core Product offering at Mollie. Succeeding in this role will require one to adeptly balance immediate needs—of the business and of our users—with progress against a long-term vision for the future.
You will lead a team of product managers across 6 product & engineering teams from product definition to discovery, development, launch and iteration.
You will be responsible for building APIs, payment & checkout experiences, dashboards, components, and payments platforms with a focus on usability, reliability, and security. In this role you will unite the voice of our merchants and engineers to deliver a set of products that are not just reliable, scalable, and secure, but also provide a meaningful and pleasurable experience to use, integrate, and interact with.
What you'll be doing:
Vision and Strategy: You set an inspiring vision, strategy and metrics for our entire Payments product. You help customers and partners to understand our vision, strategy and (product) goals. Work with Mollie leadership across multiple teams and departments to define the strategic direction for Payments at Mollie
Value Maximisation: You ensure that we as a company deliver the highest possible value for our customers. You are responsible for creating a valuable and viable product portfolio
Leading the roadmap: You understand markets, competition, and in depth and translate them into a well structured and executable roadmaps for your teams
Leadership: You are an inspiring and effective leader to a team of Product managers. You have the unique ability to be strategic and hands-on and
Knowledge Gathering: You and your teams acquire sufficient (to your role) knowledge about your product, the market, our customers, our technologies and our industry;
Execution: Together with your engineering colleagues, you have an unique ability to create high-performing teams that work predictably on clearly-defined milestones
Collaboration & Engagement: You work with stakeholders & colleagues from different competences and take the lead in bringing your products 'to life'.

What you have:
8+ years of experience in Product Management, preferably with digital and/or payments products
Deep Payments knowledge and vision/ intuition about the area of online payments, card payments and/or alternative payment methods
Proven Customer obsession: you have a track record of building customer-facing payments products - with proven track record of driving value to customers
A proven track record of product launches where you and your teams have taken a product from concept to launch, driving product vision, creating product roadmaps, driving UX decisions, and steering technical implementation discussions
Leadership experience: A proven track record of building highly effective product teams
Engineering partnership; You have worked hands-on in deep partnership with Engineering teams and see them as your better half- not as a ‘factory’
Exceptional leadership and communication skills at all levels of the organization
Expertise in working with a complex set of (senior) stakeholders and using data to lead decision making
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills: We like numbers, so do not be scared of them!
